CMH participates in webinar on using the Entertainment-Education strategy to end child marriage

07 September 2017
Professor Martine Bouman (Scientific director of the Center for Media and Health) participated in a webinar on using the Entertainment-Education strategy to end child marriage, together with Kriss Barker (Vice – President of International Programs at Population Media Centre) and Carina Schmid (Director of Global Health Programs at PCI Media Impact). The webinar was initiated by Kate Whittington (Girls Not Brides: The Global Partnership to End Child Marriage).

In this webinar the findings from our research were explored as well as hearing first-hand insights about implementing a variety of Entertainment-Education initiatives in high prevalence countries. With more and more of the GNB members interested in the use of Entertainment-Education to address child marriage, the Girls Not Brides secretariat teamed up with the Center for Media and Health to better understand the opportunities and challenges that using this approach presents.
